Greetings Warriors!
The 4th Annual Be Warrior Challenge Hike is less than two weeks away! We are looking forward to the challenge, the beauty of the trail and to seeing all of our friends and family– old and new! We will hear from Dr. Van Haren and Matt, debut this years’ t-shirt and socks, and provide you with tasty soup after the hike. Most importantly we will remember our beautiful warrior Ben and fundraise for the Van Haren Lab with the intention of changing the future of boys and their families devastated by the diagnosis of Adrenoleukodystrophy.
August 24th is right around the corner. Here are a few things you can do to make sure you are ready for the 4th Annual Be Warrior Event:
Sign Up: It’s free to sign up and it’s the best way for us to connect with participants about specifics. It only takes a minute.
Invite friends!: I’m not sure there is a better day to hike Mount Rose! It’s pretty much a party the whole way up… and down.
Get Ready!: Do some hiking, or walking, before the event: Get out, walk, run, move your body so you can Be Warrior! Round trip, Warrior 1- to the waterfall- is around 5 miles and the Warrior 4- to the summit is 10 miles.
Donate to the Van Haren Lab. Our goal this year is $40,000 and therapies are on the horizon to change and save the lives of little boys like Benjamin James Anderson. Make a donation.
