Greetings Warriors!
Did you have as much fun as we did challenging yourself on the Mount Rose Summit Trail for Be Warrior 2023? What an awesome day it was! Our incredible community, perfect weather, abundant water, incredible flowers and purple Be Warrior T-shirts dominated the trail.
Nearly 200 people showed up! Over 120 people summited (about half of them were teenagers!), about 40 made it to the waterfall, and another 40 made it to the saddle or sunset ridge. We calculated that over 1600 miles were hiked collectively!
Young, old, barefoot, off the couch, fit, torn ACLs, rehabilitated ACLs, sea level lungs, forever friends, new friends and family made it to the trailhead to Be Warrior and to help change the future for boys like Ben and families like ours.

We can’t begin to express how profoundly grateful we are for each and every donation that has been made to Be Warrior 2023. Your generosity, be it in large or small amounts, has been nothing short of remarkable. We want you to know that every penny counts, every dollar is significant and deeply appreciated. Each contribution brings us one step closer to our ultimate goal – finding a cure for ALD. It’s an uphill journey, much like our trek up the Mount Rose Summit Trail.
Help us Reach the Summit
With this in mind, we’d like to update you on our progress towards the goal. Our fundraising efforts haven’t quite reached the summit! We are just over $10,000 shy of our $50,000 goal. Knowing that Dr. Van Haren receives every dollar we donate and that his lab is making strides to therapeutically treat ALD, we hope you might consider making any size donation before we close the fundraiser out on September 30th. Every dollar makes a difference! You can also share Ben’s story and Be Warrior with employers, friends and family. Let them know what Be Warrior is all about!
